Othello: A moor who marries Barbantio's daughter, Desdemona. Not well liked by many of the other characters. Very easily worried, and a very trusting man.
Desdemona: Daughter of Barbantio, married to Othello, even though Iago thinks he should be the one that she married. Nobody believes that her and her husband will last very long.
Barbantio: Father of Desdemona. Does not accept her love for Othello, and doesnt understand it to well. He pretty much disowns Desdemona as soon as he finds out she is infact married to Othello.
Lodovico- Related to bother Desdemona and Barbantio; He notices that Othello has problems with his jealousy, and uses that to his own advantage
Iago- Married to Emilia. Othello's said to be "ancient enemy". His main goal in this book is to get revenge on Othello, he does that by making him (othello) think that Desdemona is cheating on him with Cassio, not caring who he hurts alone the way.
Cassio- Was Othellos luitenant in the beginning of the book. Accused and framed of messing around with Desdemona. Roderigo attempted to kill him at the end of the book, because Othello ordered him to. Eventually he prooves to Othello that he was loyal and he apologizes, right before he kills himself.
Roderigo- He was inlove with Desdemona, and wasn't very happy about her marriage to Othello, thus leaving him very open to being Iagos pawn. He is killed by Iago at the end of the book.
Bianca- She is in love with Cassio, and is very jealous of any other women he talks to. It seems clear that Cassio does not feel the same way that she does!
Emilia- This is Iago's wife. She is also a friend Desdemona, and the one who tells Othello that her husband is lying, once she finds out what has taken place.
